I am now an old traveler, but still passionate and curious. My backpacking period is now far behind me and now travel for me must be comfort, safety and local assistance.
This forum annoys me a little, because many seem to hold the Truth as to what is good for satisfying one's pleasure in traveling. Who wants to walk around with a backpack, sleep in the small local hotel with basic comfort and visit alone, why not? Who wants something else, that's good too, right? Each to his own choice.
For my part, I now choose to go with a local agency which costs me, admittedly a little more, but my age no longer allows me the same choices.
So I left with my wife and another couple of the same age for a dozen days in Egypt with the support of oasis travel from the Terra Trips agency www.oasis-egypte.com .
The organization was flawless from the reception at Cairo airport until our return.
The choice of hotels met our expectations and the French-speaking guides who told us their stories were remarkable in their knowledge and kindness. The comfortable cars and the very careful drivers made all our travels easier.
Visits to both the Upper and Lower Egypt allowed us to discover this great and beautiful civilization.

Every year we take a long trip, more or less far away, Central Asia, the Antilles, Reunion, USA, Mexico, etc.
This year, we are back from our trip to Egypt. Given our great age (73 and 79 years old), we have chosen to do this tour in the best conditions of comfort and safety.
We chose the small agency of Mr. Amro from Oasis Voyage to help us organize everything.
We wanted comfortable hotels and cars because the stages are now tiring for us. The big stages will be done by plane.
