Egypt trip with guide – Annick and Jean, Delphine and Thomas, Inès and Stéphane April 2023

Hello,

Following great feedback online, I contacted the Terra Trips agency via their website, writing them the things we wanted to see and I was not disappointed.

Amro, the boss, was able to organize an 8-day trip for my family (6 people including my 8-year-old daughter) exactly in line with my requests.

From the pick-up upon our arrival until our departure, everything went well thanks to the drivers and these 2 guides available and passionate about their country (one in Cairo and one for the entire south of theEgypt).

They did everything they could to ensure that our small group did not mix with the large tour groups. We have great memories and beautiful photos!

Do not hesitate and contact Amro as soon as possible to organize your trip.

Thank you Amro, Ali and Mustafa

Traveling as a family (5 adults and my 8 year old daughter), we highly recommend the Amro agency for any trip in Egypt.

Indeed, he put together a program worthy of our requests with a great guide, available, passionate and speaking French very well.

Amro calls us every day to see if everything is okay.

If you would like to visit theEgypt with complete peace of mind, quickly contact Amro via its website, it will take care of the rest.

Thank you Amro, Ali and Mustafa for these 8 unforgettable days!

================

A superb trip, organized to the highest standard. I've wanted to see Egypt for 25 years, and I was spoiled.

The team is very available and friendly, everything is well organized from start to finish, the visits are magnificent, as are the hotels chosen. In short, a dream trip!

Travel with Terra Trips from April 8 to April 16, 2023.

We took a week-long trip to Egypt 2 with Terra Trips.

Small private group of 6 people, with visits to Abu Simbel, Aswan, Luxor, Cairo, in short a very complete journey.

I had wanted to go to Egypt 2 and I seized an opportunity and the least I can say is that I did well!

The organization is great from start to finish, whether before departure or on arrival (we welcome you at the airport, we take care of your luggage and your visa, in short in 10 minutes you are at mini bus), for transfers, restaurants and hotels (I'll come back to that).

The guides who accompanied us during the week (one for the South, one for the North) are very friendly and competent, enthusiastic and very attentive to their clients.

They really gave us a great week.

We arrived in Cairo on Saturday, then left for Aswan on Sunday morning.

On Sunday we visited Philae Island, then Elephantine Island, Aswan Botanical Garden and Aswan Nature Reserve. In the evening, a little aperitif on the terrace facing the Nile, superb.

Monday, direction Abu Simbel. Three hours by bus through the desert (which in itself is already impressive) then arrival on site. A superb visit to the temples of Ramses II and Nefertari.

Really very impressive. And this visit, like all those of the stay, was made even more interesting by the knowledge and kindness of our guide.

Then return to the hotel for another beautiful evening facing the Nile.

The next day, departure on a felucca for a day's navigation down the Nile. Superb and magical.

Our guide is always invaluable when it comes to visiting a Nubian village, and the crew is top notch. In the evening, we dock and sleep on the felucca.

The meals, the atmosphere, the tea at sunset, everything is great. And what about the spontaneous awakening at 4:45 a.m. which allowed me to see the sun rise on the east bank. Superb again!

Then, the boat dropped us off a little further away and we took a minibus to visit the temples of Kom Ombo and Edfout.

Once again, I was extremely impressed by all these buildings and the rich history. In the evening we arrived at Luxor, in a superb hotel on the banks of the Nile.

The next day, our biggest day in terms of visits.

We attacked by the temple of Queen Hapshetzut. Magnificent and truly impressive site. Another very nice visit, very well commented by our guide.

Then we visited the Valley of the Kings. Here too, a very impressive site and very steeped in history. Then in the afternoon we visited the temple of Karnak (what gigantism!) then that of Luxor near our hotel. In short, a day during which we were amazed!

The next day we flew to Cairo. There we spent the afternoon at the Cairo Museum (located 300 meters from our hotel).

Once again, a very interesting visit which was made even more so by our guide who was very enthusiastic and really precise and complete in his explanations.

The next day, we ended the stay with the highlight of the show, the great pyramids.

I've traveled quite a bit and I must say that I don't think I've ever seen anything so impressive! We had the opportunity to go down into one of the small pyramids which adjoin the three large ones and it was very good. Then in the afternoon, we visited the site of Saqara and its famous step pyramid. Again, a quality visit.

Finally, and unfortunately, the time to return had come and it was with images in my head that I returned after a fabulous week.

After this little overview of my trip, a few remarks about the past week:

  • Perfect organization from start to finish. A very competent, helpful and very friendly staff, at all stages of the trip.
  • Restaurants which allowed us to taste local specialties, with a completely satisfactory level of quality (I was a little afraid of the level but I was very pleasantly surprised).
  • Superb hotels. Always well located, with a top level of comfort. After busy days of sightseeing, the evening beer on the banks of the Nile was a delight every evening.

In short, a big thank you to Terra Trips for this superb trip.

In particular, we want to make you experience Egyptian culture, as well as its traditions; therefore during your trip.

Egypt is perhaps one of the oldest tourist destinations in the world. Countless travellers, from ancient Greeks and Romans to medieval pilgrims, 19th-century Egyptologists and modern-day Instagrammers, have been drawn to this corner of northeast Africa to see and experience its legendary wonders for themselves.

Egypt has more than its fair share of iconic sights: The stark pyramids of Giza, the colossal temples of Abu Simbel, the alluring Great Sphinx (one of the oldest statues in the world) and the sand-covered tombs of the Valley Kings are just a few examples.

So far, what you have rendered as text compared to their text, I consider it to be ''good''; but it's the sequel that really turns out to be a ''copy-paste'' that I'm going to try to make sure it doesn't look like ''copy-paste'').

But behind these classic and instantly recognizable images are thousands of other aspects that tell lesser-known, but equally iconic stories about this multi-faceted country.

This ancient country that is Egypt, is full of people from all over the world, eager to know its every nook and cranny, and to rub shoulders with the mythical characters of the time of the pharaohs. Whether it's the famous Ramses II, Tutankhamun, or even Cleopatra and Nefertiti; in short, all the greats of this world that legendary Egypt has sheltered. And how not to speak of these gods that are Isis and Osiris (also well known from the adventures of Asterix and Obelix). Yes, certainly, taking a trip to the country where the pharaohs lived is a must for sure!

But Egypt has more to offer anyone who loves adventures of all kinds: excursions in the deserts while admiring the sublime sand dunes. Without forgetting of course the marvelous breathtaking pristine white deserts. Also, having the ultimate experience of sailing on the majestic Nile, and getting to know its residents and their ancestral customs. Also make a spectacular stop at the splendid and historic Red Sea as well as these well-known dive sites.

You should also know that Egypt is married to the East (East, Asia) and the West (West, Europe). How not to think of preparing a trip to this majestic country that is Egypt, country of the pharaohs, ''the cradle of civilization''!
