After a first stay in Egypt with Amro and Terra Trips in 2012, we went back there for 15 days at the beginning of April 2016. There were also 6 of us.
Excellent services. Amro went to great lengths to book us decent hotels and an excellent boat. We have built a tailor-made circuit with him, including visits to unmissable sites, as well as many magnificent, unknown sites, and almost empty of tourists!
During our Holidays Egypt. We started with 2 days in Cairo, to visit the beautiful site of Dahshour, Sakkarah, Giza, Cairo Museum. Then the El Hakem and El Azhar mosques, visit of Islamic Cairo, then, plane for Luxor.
We visited Karnak and unknown temples, visit the Luxor museum, then the moonlight temple. Then, a sunrise over the temple of Hatshepsut from a hot air balloon – an unforgettable experience. Then visit many temples and tombs in the valley of kings, craftsmen, nobles, and the unknown site of El Hoka. Detour by the very beautiful temple of Dendera, before leaving by boat for Aswan, in 3 days and the classic stops of Edfu and Kom Ombo, on Lake Nasser Kalabcha, the Nubian museum, wandering in a felucca to the tombs of the nobles .
Back in Cairo, visit the very beautiful mosques of Sultan Hassan, El Refae, the ragpickers and Coptic quarter. Also walk in El Azar Park; where we were the only Europeans in the middle of the young people of Cairo and the good-natured crowd; to finish, El Fayoum and the pottery village of Tunis, before Lake Qarun.
At no time did we have the feeling of being insecure (punctual presence, for 2 days, of a fairly discreet plainclothes policeman). The only negative being the traffic jams in Cairo. Amro manages his agency masterfully, constantly ensuring that the circuit goes as smoothly as possible.
