We have just returned from a great 10-day trip for two between Cairo and Aswan via Luxor with driver and private guide organized by the company Terra Trips.
We chose this format because we don't like group visits, and the mass effect; and in this Terra Trip perfectly met our expectations.
The first points to highlight are their responsiveness and flexibility, in fact we waited until the last minute to schedule our stay in view of the current health context. Amro was able to organize everything in a very short period of time.
He took into account our opinion and modified certain elements of the stay to better adapt to our expectations and our budget. Transfers provided between the different airports and our hotels.
Lunches included with the guide but evening meal at our expense to maintain a certain independence.
Our two guides Ali and Ahmed are very professional and passionate. The visits take place without haste and in two stages.
First, the discovery, history and decryption part. They bring you all the information and all the details on the stories of the sites visited. Then leave you free time to go around and take pictures.
We also had the chance to find ourselves alone with our guide on certain sites visited, in particular at Abu Simbel where a rare thing our guide was able to enter with us (indeed in a context of normal affluence the guides describe to you outside the site but are not authorized to enter with you).
Important point, they never leave the framework of the programmed circuit to take you to shops, our guide Ahmed even offered to buy products at the market for us so that we don't get fooled.
We returned delighted from our trip with lots of lovely memories and the chance to have been able to visit incredible sites with very few people (due to the epidemic).
